Artikel is a highly decorative display face available in 11 styles.
The initial inspiration for Artikel came from a vintage record store logo that combined ornamental capitals (similar to the vintage typeface Plaza) with traditional sans serif lowercase. As the design developed, it quickly became clear that this was a unique combination worth exploring.
Artikel is packed with a wide spectrum of alternates. This allows the user to either add even more flavorful details, or swing it towards being a traditional geometric sans serif. For example, in situations where Artikel's fancy capitals aren't appropriate (or simply won't fit), Artikel also contains a full set of simpler alternates that might work better in certain layouts. These can be accessed in the type testers below.
But the true nature of Artikel shines brightest in large, display use. It's perfect for logos, posters, signage, short headlines and so on.
